Of course no one around here so far will do bench work and look at it. Also got an oil leak from the rear main seal. Can’t help but wonder if this shake caused it. Can’t be superb for the crank to be vibrating like that.

Out of balance FW/Clutch will cause RMS leak. Had that happen. When I pulled the clutch/FW I also changed the RMS. In that case the FW was not machined flat causing the slight vibe...and RMS leak.

Don't know if replacing the RMS was necessary after getting the FW sorted but since I was in there I replaced it. I also have a RMS install tool, Kent Moore

In order to duplicate the problem the rotating assy. must be taken apart and the crank needs to be spun w/ rod weights, flywheel and damper connected and spun to see if/when/where it is out of balance. I'm really curious to know if the pilot hole in the crank shaft is not true.

Engine has been at the machine shop for a few weeks now waiting for parts to come in. He found part of a valve spring in the oil pan and LE said a couple were broken when he rebuilt the heads. Machine shop also said crank was 8 grams off, rod bearings were shiny almost showing copper, cylinder walls had glazing, the gaskets were crispy like the motor had got “hot” a few times, and he wanted to replace the top piston rings. He said it looks like the motor had a hard 10,000 miles put on it. He also said the bolts that were in there were not locating the clutch properly but the ARP ones I supplied did the trick. Says a few small problems led to this issue and it spins like a top now.
