Default Wanting to convert to E85

In my hometown the only fuel available is 87 and E85. Currently my motor has CC503 with 1.6rr, LT headers, cai, 2.5 X pipe with bullets, ~11.0 to 1 compression ratio, and pcmforless tune. I know that where i am at i will need larger injectors and fuel pump. Currently thinking about getting a AEM E85 pump that flows 320 lph (84 gph) at 43 PSI. Will this pump cause my fuel pressure to spike? From my understanding e85 will wreck the stock fuel pressure regulator over time. I know that other lt1 owners have ran the stock FPR on their cars but dont know how long they have lasted. Can anyone give me any advice on this subject? I talked to Soloman about the tune and told me that he can tune for E85. Even told me that is what he runs. I plan on doing the cable rental from him.

I’m running a 12.77:1 solid roller 383 on E85 that is north of 500whp. I’m getting away with a walbro 255 pump that has a racetronix rewire kit and 63lb injectors. I’m close to being out of injector but the pump is holding fine. Running a factory replacement FPR. Replace your fuel filter after a few tanks of E85. I never changed mine and this last tuning go around I decided to change it three weeks ago. You could barely blow through it.

Solomon tuned my car. He did a very good job before I went with a Torquehead 0411 ecm conversion. I have some Racetronix 44lb injectors I will sell you for cheap. On my setup I ran out of fuel with them. Worked great before I swapped to AFR heads and a few other add ons. These injectors will be just fine with a walbro 255 on your setup.

How many miles are on them? And how cheap?

Hey, brotha, I've been thinking E85 myself. My car isn't a DD, it's actually making more of a turn towards strip car. How much issue did you have with E85 sitting in the tank or did you drain it? I'd like to do it but I don't want to run until issues Seth the fuel going bad because my car sits for awhile at times.

Im sure there is a stabilizer that can be used. Just run the tank low, add the stabilizer, run it long enough to get the stabilizer through the fuel system. Then park it.

I would just do what I suggested earlier. Run a few tanks of E85 through then change your fuel filter. I have been running E85 for 4 years now in this car. I also use Lucas E85 treatment in my cars running E85. Yet to have a fuel pump go out or have any troubles.
