Default Bolt on estimate

I know there's already posts about bolt ons, but I want a more accurate estimate for my set up. I have a 94 z28 it's an automatic with the LT1. I have a k&n CAI, TB bypass, airfoil, pacesetter mids, 3" y & catback(cat is currently deleted), 1.6 rockers, new springs and a 23% underdrive pulley. What do you guys think I'll run at the track? What do you think shell dyno?

I think my 13.9 @ 100 mph guess is going to be pretty close then.

My goal is to be in 13's next season so I like that answer. I also have 3:73 and built tranny and a 2800 stall that I always forget. They were done when. I got it. I'm getting DRs before next season. Thank you for the quick response.

In good air at tracks that are close to sea level there have been bolt-on auto cars with your setup in the low 13’s/high 12’s at around 107mph.

Also with my set up would you guys recommend the cc503 or a different cam. The track I mostly race is at 3500 but I also occasionally race bandimere which is about 6000 feet I ran a best of 14.9 @ 91 there.

Agreed!

I was gonna say low 14's but without a time slip its hard to say what's really going on. Getting my stick car into the 10's N/A would be nice but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

OP

do you have a aftermarket "tune"?

That and a better tire for the track (MT ET street tire) would help. You would likely be in the high 13's then

I'm sending out a spare PCM I have for a tune next week. And yeah the street tires only allow me to launch at about 1900 rpm, do you think if I had nitto DRs I could launch closer to 2500?

You'd be better with a Mickey and a higher stall. You'd be surprised at how high a stall some of these guys run on bolt on or cam only cars. 2800 isn't much and you're only leaving at 1900.

The car must stay streetable, because it is my daily and I live in Colorado where we see snow and ice 6 months out of the year. I don't wanna go much higher than a 3000 stall. (And I had the 2800 in the garage, so I did it when I swapped motors.) I am not maxxed out leaving at 1900 I just don't think I have enough tire.

If you have a location and time for that pass I can estimate the Density Altitude for you. I suspect it was quite high.
FWIW my car drives better in the rain/snow with a 10" 3k stall than it did with the stock one. If your current converter is a 12" unit you might want to consider going with something smaller, even if the rated stall speed is the same.

http://www.dragtimes.com/da-density-...calculator.php

Handy little sight. IDGAF when I used to live in Texas and VA. Now that I'm at a higher elevation, the last time I went to the track it was 100* and DA figured out to be around 9,000ft. ele. Sad!

Looks like DA was 6600 feet with an air density of 82%.
The conversion chart I used caps out at 6000', applying it to your ET gives a sea level equivalent of 13.33. http://wallaceracing.com/altitudecorrection.htm
Take that number with a grain of salt...
Not used to seeing much over 3000' DA conditions personally.
