Lt1 wire harness
So i am just asking around to see if anyone else has ever had to do this. My 93 Trans Am caught fire last week and one of the things I will definately need to replace is the wiring harness. I was just wondering if anyone else has done this and if it is a relatively simple job or not. If there is a lot entaled and something I would need to pay someone else for, I will just be parting out the car. Also any advice on changing it or not would be much appreciated.

I worded that wrong. I mean if it it a job that most will not be able to DIY, i cant afford it. I just wanted to know if I would have to pay someone to do it, in which case I would part out the car.
I know it is also a lot more damage than just a harness, Which leads me away from fixing a little bit

Some of those connectors are nearly impossible to source and will need to be scavenged. Used harnesses on eBay are around 150-250 and there's currently quite a few for you to choose from. Unless you want to challenge yourself just spend the money on a good used one and call it a day. There was a guy on here named z28ricer (sp?) or something like that and he made new/custom ones with as many new parts as possible but it has been years since he posted.

Start calling junkyards nation wide. FB has some specific f-bdoy salvage places. May be expensive. Should be plug and play. I’d also get a PCM with the harness if you can. Or at least crack yours open to ensure it was not damaged.
