Love the build! I am one of those guys that never got around to building an LT1 based 302. I built a L99 for Super Stock instead.
I have a Gen V 302 in my 2019 COPO. It turns 8600 rpm through the traps with Johnson hydraulic rollers without issues.

I also had to pick up some offset dowels to align the bellhousing.
Were you able to get this up and running? Curious to hear how it worked out, contemplating a similar build myself.

Amazing build. I've had the gen 1 302 in a 66 chevelle 4 speed. Building a gen 2 lt1 302 with t56 6 speed for my 1991 miata. Funny we aren't building for a 4th gen lol.

Sorry, forgot to update this:

She made 321/267 and then I started having some instability beyond 7k. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the results and I know there is more on tap once I figure out the stability issues. What I'm not happy about, however, is that the throwout bearing got over-extended on the third drive. As a result, the car has sat for almost a year as I have no had the time or desire to tear the thing apart to get to it.

I like the exhaust note. What kind of exhaust are you running?

The headers are Sanderson shorties that exit into 2.5 pipes. They merge into a single 3" pipe from there with a Magnaflow 5" round muffler underneath and larger Magnaflow oval muffler right before the exhaust tip.
