Thats AC not heater isn't it?
Or Do the old TPI engines used crimped hoses for the heater hoses?
I see what looks like a pressure switch on that hose like AC uses..

The LT1s have a fitting on the radiator hose to burp the air out.

Depending on where the hose is punctured, I'd cut it away and if there's enough meat left, put it back onto the w/p.

That specific hose goes to the heater core.

I have taken that style of crimp to a hydraulic shop and they can open it up and replace the rubber part, assuming both ends are metal-crimp.. Just in case that helps any..

That's why it is best to replace the whole thing. All of the hoses are the same age.

Agreed.

Here you go, homie:

Just replaced mine because the hoses were getting soft. It's not a pleasant experience in replacing it, but not impossible.

I'll keep it in mind for next time. I ended up just replacing it today.

It was not easy but not so bad, I had to use the Dremel at a angle and just cut as best as possible. Very tight fit and awkward to fit a Dremel in there Had to be very careful not to cut anything else. (Had to remove the alternator, battery.) & (Unbolted the power steering reservoir and moved it out the way. Kept it together.) Bought like 3ft of heater hose from AutoZone ($12 or so) and cut it to fit. Tho I do wonder why gm put so many twist and turns on the original hose. Mines has a slight curve into the water pump.

Ran a few cycles and everything seems fine, no leaks. Heat works.
