car taking too long to shift
I recently got the transmission on my 95 Z28 swapped after only having it for a year because of knocking (it was under warranty). After replacing the transmission and some of the trans harness (the guy before me used wire nuts to connect wires and my tech didn't think to ask me to replace it the first time the trans was done) my tech said the tires were burping when the car shifted out of first into second and eventually they threw in the towel and gave my car back after six weeks with a new trans and what I suspected a new harness, for free. I was told the problem with the new trans was fixed but it turns out that its not the shift with first and second thats the problem, every gear is taking too long to shift, getting up to about 3,500 rpm before shifting and shifting hard. I browsed forum after forum and kept finding problems with people's VSS so on memorial day I got under the car and my harness leading to the VSS on the transmission was still wire nutted on, I replaced that part of the harness correctly and then installed a new sensor for safe measure, now it the problem is more prevalent instead of happening after long drives I'm getting Error code 22 for the TPS which I replaced in march. Any ideas on what I should do next or if I've missed something?

update
after writing the post to this thread I realized I should probably test the TPS with my laptop so I did but I threw me into even more of a loop, with the car in the on position, my TPS works perfectly fine, 5.1% with foot off the gas, and 100% at WOT, however when I actually start the car I get readings all over the place, dropping to 0% at idle and reading inaccurate numbers with foot on the gas. anyone have any idea why theres a difference when I actually start the car compared to when the key is in the on position
