Default What differential cover ? Does it matter ?

I did a full inspection of my car and the rear differential fluid needs to be changed. Figured I might as well change the cover.
Which one should I go with ? Does it matter ?

I found these three, I like the black one but that’s because of it’s looks. But is there one better than the other ?

Car is 94 Transam GT A4 65k miles. With lowering springs and shocks and other suspension upgrades done to the car.

I know that the TA one is made in Arizona, not sure about the others, I happen to have the TA and like it but I doubt there's much if any actual difference between them functionally.

Ok thank you. Just curious, figured If there’s any benefit to one or the other might as well get the most beneficial one.

I have the TA performance differential cover on 2 of my Bird's. Just be aware they are slightly bigger than stock and may not clear an aftermarket rear sway bar.

you can get a higher standoff block to mount them if you don't already have them, I had that same cover with Strano bars as well before I went Dana 60, I probably still have them if you need them

None of them matter as long as they're made in the USA and they brace the bearing caps in the diff. I dunno.... IMO you're better off saving for a 12-bolt.

Not sure by who, but you should be able to get lowering brackets for the sway bar.

Summit has their own diff cover with and without a logo. The TA Performance one can't be used on a Camaro.

So I take it the panhard relocation bracket should fix the issues with the diff cover.

Yes. I had to get them to lower my sway bar for the cover on mine.

This. Trying to beef up a 7.5" is just putting lipstick on a pig. Might even be a downgrade if it throws off the ring gear's ability to sling oil at the pinion and pinion bearing. Sure lots of people run them, but then again lots don't without failures.

The nice thing about the cover is it's easier to drain than the stock one.

I went with the one form Summit, no logo, made for them by TFS. Not sure if it's made in USA but it's a high quality piece and cam with ARP cover bolts. Pics of it with PHB relocation kit from Speed Engineering + UMI PHB here, post #9.

You're not wrong, but ever since I saw this video aftermarket diff covers are far less appealing to me.
