94 LT1 Optispark Replacement
What are the best options out there now? 10 years ago it was delco with mitsubishi sensor, but with delco quality changing with suppliers is that still the case?
What are the best options to stay with the early spline drive setup? Is there a quality rebuilder? Downtime doesn't matter for me - the car is high on a lift.
Last time I tried parts store versions and they were less than adequate and generated a bunch of rework for me.
What are your suggestions?
I also recommend buying an LTCC unit. Still utilizing the eye of the optispark and stock ecm. It basically converts it to coil on plug. Preventing the optispark from frying itself.
I went the same route but had to return the new one as it was clearly defective.
So, I think the Delcos are as much if a crap shoot as the rest of them now. Next time around I’ll try Petris if I don’t go the full TorqHead route.

I put a Petris one on my Z28 back in late June and its been perfect. I'm actually doing a 0411 PCM swap next month, so my Opti will end up being nothing more than a cap and rotor shortly, as the PCM swap doesn't need the opti signal.
