@shakenfake where did you find the frame shop? My old K3500 I'm pretty sure also has a bent frame. I'm not sure if a frame shop can fix it or what. I haven't found one on this side of the metroplex.

Place sounds familiar. I think I took my '85 there years ago to have them weld the frame from the notorious 3rd gen cracked frame next to the steering box issue.

Monthly update. GTD called and said my axle shaft runout is beyond spec. Brand new Moser axles… .004 and .006. When I called Moser they said “Well factory spec is higher than that.” Uh sure but if I wanted factory spec I wouldn’t have bought Mosers. Not impressed.

Anyway, now I have Dutchman axle shafts. Tentative completion date is October 25th. Most likely would not be able to pick it up until November 3rd.

Lastly I will need a new brake caliper backing plate. I have a line on one possibly but we’ll see… I can only find 4 on car-part. I’m hoping I can get what I need.

Axle was completed two weeks ago. Just need to pick it up. Should be going out there this weekend to grab it and will hopefully have it in car by Sunday afternoon.

I got the brake caliper backing plate because I just bought an entire axle assy. Now I need to sell that....

Axle looks **** I will tell you that much. Looking to have it back on the road by the end of January or February at the latest.

It has come home finally. Was planning on working on it last night but the 6 hours on the road had me wiped. Ordered gear oil that should arrive by Wednesday or Thursday. Need to pull the cover off, axles out and then install my brake backing plates.

I am missing hardware so probably one or two trips to the hardware store at some point. I misplaced a couple of bolts like a doofus.

Now it is back on the ground. Only 2 months later....
Taking it in for alignment on Wednesday.

Car started right up with a new battery. I had left about a quarter tank in it but seemed to be just fine.

Car goes up on the rack late this week or early next week. I'm out of town this weekend and next weekend so I am not in a huge rush. However I would like to get everything broken in by the end of the month.

Had a CEL when I put it on the flatbed. Probably all that old nasty gas I have in there.

If you EVER decide to go the turbo route and want to get some cash for the FLP headers, im your guy. Also, as far as I can tell, either T/A makes all those rear end girdles or all the rest are just knock offs. I had a T/A on my 94 9C1 and it was a nice piece.
