Default Fuel pump upgrade

I'm building a 383, T-trim, Holley efi, etc. 94 Camaro. I'd like to use the stock fuel lines if possible, and run an in-tank pump. I'm thinking that I will need more than a single 255 pump can support. Will a single 340 work? Can I fit a Hellcat pump in the bucket? How about a the Racetronix FLT1 dual setup? I did install an Aeromotive afpr already. Thanks

I'm working on a similar setup but turbo, Aeromotive APFR and factory computer (for now). planning on a hellcat pump although I tossed the bucket years ago so can't help with whether it will fit in the bucket or not. my original plan was the FLT1 dual pumps with one being on at all times and the second on a hobbs switch which would come on at around 3psi of boost. went with the simpler route as I don't care about the fuel savings being a second vehicle for me. my thought has always been going overkill on the fuel pump, so you have room to grow into it. on top of that, get a fuel pump relay kit so you are not relying on factory sized wiring to power the pump(s). racetronix makes one as do other companies

That's kind of what I was thinking, either Hellcat pump or the dual setup. I don't know anything about the bucket, since I haven't dropped my tank yet. I didn't know you could run it without the bucket, but I guess seeing the Aeromotive sender/pump assy., that makes sense.

You can, but the pump will heat up moreso than normal once the fuel level is below which can greatly reduce the life of the pump.

You can fit a Walbro hellcat pump in the stock tank, in fact with some fabrication to the stock hanger you can fit two in there.

I have a 1990 half ton with a 383, Holley Terminator and in tank Walbro 255 feeds it with no trouble.

If your term " T trim " means manifold pressure, than I am pretty sure you'll need more pump.

as SSRRR said, the bucket is to keep fuel around the pump to keep it cool and as a mini surge tank I believe, so just need to keep at least 1/4 tank at all times to avoid overheating the pump without it. but you also may be able to fit the hellcat pump in the bucket too which would avoid all that.

I ended up fitting a Aeromotive 340 pump into the original hanger and bucket.
Thanks for all of the great ideas!
