Shorty spark plugs
I have rams horn exhaust on an otherwise stock 1995 LT1 350. Can anyone recommend a shorty spark plug for this engine so I can get more clearance for spark plug boot? The commonly recommended Accel shorty plugs have a shorter reach as well as shorter length from seat to top terminal than the stock plugs. Does that make a difference?
The only short plug I could find with reach inside the combustion chamber same as stock was an Accel plug that sells for around $35 EACH. Way out of my budget. Others with a shorter reach are more reasonable in cost. That's why I was asking if the reach makes a difference, which I assume would be the case, but I thought someone might have actual experience with it.
Reach ? as in threads or projected Vs non-projected tips ? I was running BR7 non-projected tip for some planed use of a little spray, which I never did.....yet.

The following is copied from NGK's website: "A spark plugs reach is calculated by the length of the threads. It is measured from the seat of the plug to the end of the threads; it does not include the electrodes, or an extended metal shell. When custom-selecting a spark plug, the electrode length and projection should be included in the calculation when taking into consideration the clearance in the combustion chamber."
This what I'm asking about.
