Pacesetter Headers
Found a set of Pacesetter LT on ebay for $291 but it only lists that it will fit 96-97 camaro. Wouldn't it fit a TA too? Sent the guy an email but haven't heard back from him.

First, I know it will fit my motor. I don't own a camaro nor have I ever inspected under the hood of one so I didn't know if the chassis/K member was the same, I don't like spending money on stuff that doesn't fit my car. Second, dude emailed me back and said they are shoties.......hmmmmmmm the ad says in big bold black letters at the very top of the description BLACK PAINTED RACE VERSION 1-3/4 INCH MILD STEEL LONG-TUBE HEADER. That's why I check stuff out thoroughly before I buy it. Are the pacesetters from summit long tubes?

Personally I'd go with a better header than pacesetter I'm not happy with mine but thats my opinion.

I am very happy with my Pacesetters, especially for the price! Got it dynoed last week, 294.2hp and 326.9 ft lbs. I was very happy with those numbers! I have headers, ory, cutout, cold air intake, air foil, 1le elbow, 160º, lots of free mods.

A few people have found that the copper gaskets leak more then the paper ones.
BTW doing a LT header change is a piece of cake when the heads are off the car. All I had to do was slide each one in through the top and pray I didnt scratch on anything.

just use good felpro or mr gasket ultraseal gaskets. tighten them down correctly then check them after the first couple heat cycles and your good.
as far as pace setter. just keep in mind what type of emissions your area has and what ypipe will work with those headers. if you need cats that could cause problems with what headers you choose

I have Pace setters and copper gaskets on my 96 and love them, they weren't that hard to install either. I paid 279 off ebay for the LT's and then like 125 for the y-pipe and they have been just fine.

I have had no problems with my pacesetters either.....I even used the cheap gaskets that they came with because my $$ ran out real fast, and its been a month with no leaks.....

Pacesetters headers are installed and they hit the firewall. Actually just the passenger side barely rubs the bottom of the firewall, and I can't get the reducer on the drivers side due to a "brace" being in the way, the header doesn't come down far enough. Not sure what I'm gonna do about this. I might be able to cut either the collector or reducer shorter and make it fit. Anybody else had this prob?
Also, is it a must to get the LT4 knock module now that I have headers? Took it down the road after I got the headers on and it seemed to run kinda pitiful actually. Gotta get my duals and bullet mufflers put on this week if I get this collector problem straightened out.

My Pacesetter headers clear the everything, but are very close to the bottom of the frame. Driver's side is about 1/4" from the frame, and the y-pipe had to be bent down a little bit for that spot. Mine don't hit the firewall though..

I too love mine I just installed them today and it took about two hours after I took my shorties off. I put the driver side in from the bottom and the passenger side from the top. I bought mine from summit and they were $285 and then $9 for boxing fee. Mine fit awesome, I did notice that they dont go down very far but I will probably just notched a pipe a bit. I have never had good luck with copper gaskets I had some copper header gaskets and only one primary sealed. I bought some cheap fel pros and never looked back.
