LT1 nitrous?
Granted a fully forged bottom end will definitely handle the stress a little better (a lot better really) than a stock engine. But I have a completely stock engine, with bolt-ons, and have been spraying a 175 shot at it for over 5 years now with no problems.
An upgraded fuel pump is definitely needed, and I would give the car a complete tune up before even installing the nitrous kit.
I'm not saying that if I can do it, anybody can. What I'm trying to say is that when nitrous is installed and used properly, it is a safe power adder. BTW, my car is a daily driver with almost 185,000 miles on it
