Kook's LT1 feedback?
i drive my car on the street alot and swap between plugs for nitrous and motor application. if it takes more than 40 minutes to swap plugs then i will stick with hooker lt's or i am considering the hedman 1 7/8 headers.
i know kooks is known for great quality, and you get what you pay for, but at this point i am only looking at plug access as a selling point, as i am sure they are an awesome header.
thanks

Nova, Our headers were designed to make HP, period. Compare our design to other brands (particularly port design and primary tube routing), and you'll see what I'm talking about. This may sound like a bold statement but our LT1 headers will more than prove themselves on the dyno, the street and the drag strip. I'll post whatever dyno infomation I get next week. im considering switching just for plug access..........but spending an extra $550 (difference between selling my used jethots and buying some kooks) just to reach my plugs is a lot.
with jethots/hookers, i have to jack the car up and take out the starter to reach the #6 and #8 plugs. that is a serious PITA.
someon posted pics of installed kooks on cz28.com and it really doesnt look like id be able to change plugs from the top.

i also cannot fit my hand in at the right angle to change the #2 plug. maybe all you guys just have really small hands/forearms, but it takes me almost 45mins of playing around just to twist that plug out. looking at the pics, the primary tube on the kooks is in the same spot as on the jethots, so im guessing ill have the same prob.
i wish someone around here already had a set, and i could go try changing their plugs.

i'm with "got hp?" in that pic, it doesnt look much different then my Hookers as far as plug access. #6 and #8 are a huge PITA and they dont look much better in that pic
what tools do you use to change the plugs out in 30min? require a stubby plug socket and a ratcheting wrench?

i have all winter to decide on headers.
