Default Finally got into the 11s

I know guys are able to do this pretty easily these days but I've been trying for 4 years. I've had every conceivable problem. From replacing several trannys to replacing motors. My previous best was a 12.01@113.5 with a 1.67 60' but because of the obd1 curse, was never able to run 11s because any 60' I got lower than that 1.67 would not allow the car to shift. I now have a 700r4 which has had issues since I've had it (won't shift into 3rd under WOT) but it allows a harder launch. In fact, I have to lift off the gas to get it to shift.

Anyways to the good part...11.94 @ 112.3 with a 1.59 60'. My car has 4 year old ported factory heads and a gm846 cam. Unfortunately I had to stay emissions legal or I would've gone with a larger cam. I have slp shorties, 3.73 gears, and borla exhaust. The car still weighs 3670 with me in it so it is by no means a lightweight. I'm in the process of going back to the 4l60e because I'm tired of the driveability issues I currently have. Hopefully with full throttle shifts I can now see 11.8s.

Nice to see another all motor lt1 in the 11's. Keep working out the bugs and you'll get some 11.8x's. What tires do you run and what size stall?

Thanks again. I forgot to mention, this is still a stock bottom end. I really wanted to build a stroker but got pretty pressed to have the car running again after it sat for a year with a blown motor.

Congratulations! Looks like from your signature your LT1 (and your LS1) were pretty strong bone stock.

Yeah, my lt1 was strong stock...but that was 2 motors ago The ls1 ran 14.4s when I first bought it but better weather and improved driving got it down into the 13.2s. My shifting was the same but launching is hell with these m6s.

BTW shot me a PM on the not shifting stuff. BOth transmissions can be cured but as you now have the 700 we can focus on that

Thanks Ellis, I heard about the fix which is why I decided to switch back. In fact the 4l60e is back in the car now and boy does it feel good to have that stock driveability back. I'm not going to run it yet until I break in the new tranny and have the "fix" installed in my computer. One of the local guys can take care of it for me but big thanks anyways.
