396 with a ton of goodies, hooker lt's lt4 intake, rev xtreme stage III heads , custom grind cam , msd digital 6, BBK 58mm tb etc............... Hoping for 420-460 na RWHP , we'll see as soon as the break in stage is over. Man some great numbers out of other 396 setups , hope I can make good company!

Well before I had a 105000 mile shortblock with comp 224/230 112lsa pro mag 1.6rrs
Jethot longtubes, home ported heads and k&n cai I put down 350/350 with alot of false knock(bad sensor)
I was trapping 112-114mph
that plus 100 shot I was trapping 123-124.xx

Now I have a APE built forged 383 11:5:1
and will be doing a 150-250 shot and a much bigger cam
No numbers yet cuz the motor isnt in but im guessing on just motor theres no reason why it shouldnt hit 400/400

I don't know myself, I did my own also. But i have done @ 8 sets of LT1's. I got lucky and got to use a set of TEA heads a friend had while he was still building his shortblock and I studied and took some measurements from them. That was 6 years ago and I can't remember his #'s, but I know they were up there at .525 lift @ 28''.
The big concern on LT1 heads is the guides in both runners, taking some off the down side of the exh side, and polishing the chambers and getting just the right wave in them to make good turbulence w/o sacrificing flow.

ooohh, thanks Jeff. when i hear "396" i think of the old classic big block.

Snake, man, you're killin yourself!!! IMO, that 58mm tb is way too big. That's for FI use, plus the stock exh???ouch! With that Hotcam kit, you should be laying down @ 360rwhp when you get some more bolt-ons and a good exh.
