Whats the best header for the price? I mean, im supercharging in febuary when my refund loan check comes in. so for now whats the best hp gaining header out there for the price? how many ponies?
im trying to buy all the "small things" now.
i only have now, haha kn airfilter, bmr lca reloction brackets, hypertech 3.....

i think jet hot is a great way to go. good design, fits nicely, and great guarantee on coating. picked mine up for 535. but if kooks were out when i bought these i probably would have waited and spent the extra 300.

Guys, We realize that Hookers and some of the other brands out there are what you're accustomed to using but you're really doing yourselves a disservice not stepping up to Kook's. I've been with Kook's for quite some time now and I can honestly tell you that our LT1 headers may be some of the best stuff we've ever done. Slowly but surely they are catching on with the more serious LT1 enthusiasts. We're hoping we can help change the mindset of all those interested in headers for their F-bodies. Yes, you will pay more for our headers but to put it in proper perspective, ask yourselves what would it cost to duplicate these headers in a custom header shop using the same material. How does $2000.00 sound. That correct. It would cost you $2000.00 to custom build a set of stainless steel headers equal to the quality and design of Kook's LT1 headers. We have a set of Kooks headers on a 97 Z. The car picked up 7hp and 2 tq over the hookers that were on it, and gained 1mph at the track.
Overall, I'm really happy with the kooks design, it's just too bad all the f-body headers hit the firewall in my little Nissan or I'd have a set in there.

Pacesetters by far. LT and ceramic coated for $374.00
From TexasSPeed. Just have a few minor issues nothing to be concerned about especially for the price of having Ceramic coated headers.

Good question Warbird. The real reason was most folks we spoke to in the industry felt that the LT1 market had subsided considerably. This may be true but it doesn't nullify the fact that there's a great deal of LT1's still tearing up the streets and drag strips around the country. Kook's got involved in the GM market late in the game with LS1 F-bodies being the market we targeted first. As most of you know, we're selling LS1 systems (C5, C6 and F-body) quicker than we can build them. I believe by this summer we'll have our hands full with LT1 orders. Better late than never I guess. WhtLt1, The 300.00 is only a lot to save till you realize that cheaper headers have comprimises. What if I told you that extra $300.00 is what will give you a header that will last the life of the car. In two years when most headers are starting to rust away, think about the time, effort and cash it'll cost to remove and recoat or altogether replace the cheaper brands. Suddenly it isn't nearly as cost effective. Nick "Kook's Headers"

By puting 2 and 2 together is sounds like the price of your headers are around the
$800 range 
I could buy 2 sets of Pacesetters!!
Just out of curiosity, explain to me what makes your header more durable then Pacesetters Ceramic coated and how much more precision is actually involved!
To my knowledge a good ceramic coat on headers is what prolongs headers.

Brent, Our headers are made using 304 stainless which requires no coating whatsoever. Stainless makes more power to start with. The material maintains even temperatures throughout the primaries which creates more effective scavenging. Our header primaries are within +/- 2", flanges are 3/8 thick with hand ported D-shapes and collectors incorporate scavenger spikes. Lookin at your sig I can see that you've got a pretty stout piece. It looks to me like you'd benefit greatly from a killer set of headers. I bet on the bottle you'd see huge gains over your current headers. Need more proof? Speak to the LS1 crowd about Kook's. Whats a rough price Nick?
I bought the Jet Hot headers. They are a good piece for 510 bucks. I dont doubt that Kooks are a higher quality and will give more hp. I would buy Jet Hots again because Kooks wont get me that much more hp as a bolt on car and thats how it will stay for a while. The Jet hot's have started to rust on the bottem of the them but the top where everyone sees is still good looking. They have been on the car for about a year now.

They may not be the cheapest, but you will see good gains from a set of Hooker LTs. Gains of 15 RWHP are typical with just this mod. The uncoated run $419 from Summit and around $700 for coated.
