Default Just got LT1, what comes first??

Everyone, I just bought an LT1. To be exact it is a 1997 30th Ann. Ed. Camaro.. Now what i am wondering is: What comes first? It has the cat cut off, and a K&N AIR FILTER ONLY, plus a hurst short shifter- with a Hurst Pistol Grip ****. But that is besides the point. I was wondering what should come first? (My thinking is a Moroso CAI to replace the "Just Filter.")

CAI, headers ,exaust or dumps, then cam + head porting.(or just cam only if you looking for a mild one) + rockers. You will probably need computer tuning as well for the cam. I would go in that order really, then go with larger cubes for the rebuild when the motor decides to give up on you later down the road.

Cold Air, Long Tubes and while your doing the LTs, change the plugs since your going to have to change wires.

I do agree with you somewhat. He really needs to ask himself where the car is going when buying gears. Is he gonna keep modding and then have to get a 12 bolt or 9 inch? I made this mistake and beefed up my 10 bolt with new diff and 4:10's. I just think it was a waste of money to build up something that is gonna most likley break, when you know you could just save for a solution. I am in the M6 world however , i have seen some A4's keep the 10 bolt alive for a while.

With slicks im assuming. Is this an A4? he cant be spraying out of the whole at all. I really dont think the party will last long with that set up.

I dont know what does an built ten bolt sell for? I might just go out and blow mine up soon if it isnt worth the trouble.

LT1dude headers are like fine wines. It is up to your preference. My car sounds all out race with dumps and i am running the headers in my sig. It just depends if you want emissions legal, ground clearance, coated, stainless.
From what i hear the SLPs are one of the only 1 3/4 shorties.

With an auto you can push the hell out of a 10 Bolt, not so the case with a six speed car

LT1dude, where are you located?

Definately get a CAI and headers first. That and free mods. After that, you have a lot of research to figure out which route you want to go!
