How 96-97 SS compare to LS1?
with headers, ET Streeets, 3400 stall, cutout, free mods, tuning and other goodies my car only went 13.40's.......
And no, Im not a bad driver some LS1's are just slouches....
Then again I bought a bone stock 1998 trans am with 110K miles on street tires spinning ran a 13.40 no prob's

Sorry, but I agree with the others. If we're talking about stock LS1s, that is just plain wrong. The average running and average driven LS1 will run a 13.3-13.7. Good running and well driven LS6-intake-equipped (01-02) LS1s can hit 13.1s and 13.2s. I have heard people saying they can hit 12s in a bone-stock LS1, but I have never, ever seen it myself.
