Is it worth it to ditch SLPs for longtubes?

If you get long tubes and want to dump them cheap let me know. I want a set laying around for when I put my car back on the street
I too would really like to see a side by side dyno chart of a car with long tubes vs shorties with NO mods done in between and see what the gains may be and where they occur in the RPM range.
I would think a mag like GM High Performance or Hot Roding or one of those has to have done a test like this in the past.
I always reference the GMHTP LT1 shootout in NJ. Russ had the field covered by 2-3MPH and ET by a couple of tenths and he ran the Edelbrock shorties, all the other cars had LTs.
