Nobody makes any other car I am interested in I want/like/need a large RWD car and want some power, the 94-6 b-bodies fit that bill well, and the LT1 was the optional or standard engine depending on exactly which car. My 96 Caprice will keep most LS1s at bay past the 1/8 and I don't even have headers on it yet and with the new addition to the family a 95 Roadmaster wagon the Caprice is set to be a toy so I don't have to keep it mild enough for road trips and towing anymore. The Roadmaster is stock for the moment but I have a little bit of stuff to do to it, won't get carried away like I will with the Caprice but it's 4700+lbs. rear will still keep most ricers at bay.

At a stoplight the b-body is hard to beat, few other cars offer the power of the LT1 and the traction that chassis delivers.

theres always somethin faster, for me, this is my car, and for now this is what im modding.

15's???? was there something wrong w/ your car? Most LT1's will get into 14's stock and 13's w/ catback and CAI.

I wonder how many of you guys bought your cars with the intentions of modding. I certainly didn't. I thought that when I purchased my car it would keep me satisfied. Boy was I wrong.

i bought mine with every intention of modding it as well. as for why i started, well when you can scrub the wheels because your turning that hard while dodging cones in a parking lot you kinda need to do something about that if you want to continue to parking lot race. so i did. its good enough for now. i also like under dogs. the LT1 is quickly becoming that to everyone who doesn't know what they are messing with. think TPI motors suck? most people do. next on that list is the LT1. its good to prove people wrong and just simply walk away leaving them wondering what the hell

Well i needed an air filter, so im converting to ram-air. My cat clogged so i cut off the exhaust system. I need to change the plugs and wires so im just gonna put on headers with a true dual system to make it easier. I descreened my MAF.... well i dont remember why, but it dropped from 27mpg to 20mpg, so im getting a tune. I'll be doing my heads and cam when i convince mysely a rocker is out of alingment or something.

me it inspired me when i bust the 390HP cobras and GT it gives them a better reason to not underesimate the LT1 for the LS1 and its cool when they chose the LT1 OVER THE LS1 THINKING ITS GOING TO BE SLOWERRRR HA HA HA HA

Doesn't everyone do a h/c stroker build up when changing a valve spring?

Seriously, I liked the potential of the gen II, the 'underdog' quality the build-up offered, the availability of relatively cheap parts (except heads), and the look on many folks face's when they realize they just got walked by an 'old' LT1. Plus, I just like the look of the LT1 powered cars better - it's much edgier to me.
