Hogan builds a nice sheet metal unit too, but I think it's like $2500. Too rich for my blood.

Late Model Engineering (LME) can also set you up, they are also a site sponsor and a do a lot of SBC head conversions for the LT1 cars

The LT4 intake is basically just an LT1 intake with a little more meat to allow port matching to the higher port LT4 heads it is not an upgrade for an LT1 and actually will not even boltup without machining to either the heads or intake itself and after that it is still pointless to try to boltup because like I said not an upgrade same ports. A lot of people asume the LT4 intake is an upgrade so don't feel bad. All it is is an intake meant to allow fitting to different heads.

incorrect. the runners are slightly larger and steeper on the LT4. I pulled up the numbers on the LT4 at one time and i read that they are longer or shorter as well, but i dont remember the website so I cant say one way or another. The LT4 intake is an upgrade but only worth about 5-10 hp max on a high performance setup so not worth it for the price.

Excuse my scepticism since you are the first person claiming to actually know anything about this that claims it is an upgrade. If it really was an upgrade people would be using it but guess what they aren't. If you have data to support your claims please post it and I will try to find data to back mine up as well.

http://web.camaross.com/forums/showthread.php?t=344841 Lloyd Elliot himself addresses the LT4 intake vs. LT1 in this thread.

Quote "The LT4 heads have a much taller port and you need the LT4 intake to be able to open it up to the size you need it. The LT1 heads have a shorter port and the LT1 intake can be opened up big enough to match. Using an LT4 intake on an LT1 is useless. "

I don't think many of us will claim to know half what he does much less more.
