Quote on instaling headers I ordered the Pacesetter LTs and went down to the shop I get all my work done at. He quoted $500 to get them installed. Does this sound right or should I get a second opinion?

Allright thankx. Also I need some help. If I get this: http://truckperformance.com/products/?productID=457006 (with the headers) Would I be able to maybe run dual mufflers(flowmaster super40), one on both sides of the pipe or would it be better to run the pipe into one muffler? Or would I be better off with a single Y-pipe after the headers.
If you have a garage, I would try doing it yourself. I installed headers on my Vette in my driveway. Its a bitch but you'll never learn til you try. That gives you $500 for more mods

Alternator, steering linkage, sometimes an a/c line needs to be disconnected, spark plugs and wires need to come out, starter has to be moved and the old y pipe has to come off. With long tubes you may need to unbolt an engine mount and jack the engine up a little to get them in there.

^^^ Sounds right on the spot...if you make sure you can get the car a good distance off the ground, it's not a bad job at all. I have helped with two installs on f-bodies, mine and a LS1 formula. We did the formula on jack stands and mine on a drive-on platform. Do it yourself if you can get some help and are even somewhat mechanically inclined.

ummmmm.....i second that one pizza and beer do sound damn good...do it urself..it will be hard but with the right help u will learn a lot
