Default electric fuel gauge install

has anyone here done an electric fuel gauge install on there LT1 Camaro or TA. i have a 93 TA and all i need to know is where to mount the sender unit. im not sure exactly where to mount it. i was looking at the NORDSKOG electric gauge and the sender unit, but it just looks like it taps in somewhere. if anyone has pics and a list of what they bought and used to install would really help.

I need help with this also. I think you just tap into the fuel sending unit's wire. If anyone knows which wire this is or if you have pics, please show.

You might want to do a search for it if you haven't yet. I have been searching for the wire to hook up my gauge to for 2 hours now and I have run across a bunch of useful sending unit info. Just type in FUEL GAUGE INSTALL into search. That should take you there. I pulled up 76 posts. Hopefully you can find it there.

You just hook it to the shrader vavle, and on 93's it's on the driver side on the intake right in the middle.

the one that i am looking at buying has threads on the end of the unit. its from autometer. like you would drill a hole into the fuel rail and tap threads in. but i dont really like that idea

First off, if it has threads on the end, then it is a Mechanical gauge and can't be mounted in the cockpit,(dangerous and no track will let you run). If your going to keep it in the Engine bay, you just need a line reach to connect it to the schrader valve to the gauge mounting area to the gauge.
DO NOT DRILL a hole in you fuel rail. If one minu'te little sliver gets by and into an injector, you're screwed.

i have seen it, it has threads and it is not a mechanical gauge. it is electric with the hookup box. does some one have a part number for a gauge that hooks up to the schrader valve

my buddy has an LS1 and he had it tapped into the fuel rail and his has threads. but you can do that on an LS1 because of the way the fuel rail is set up. he drilled his in the end of it
