new times

The track finally opened here today so I got my new times. Nothing special but it was fun! Best of the day was an 8.55 at 84 mph in the 1/8. I dropped almost .4 with the headers, duals, Mickey ET's and a half *** tune by myself. Clutch is slipping pretty bad off the line so I hope to drop off a little more time with a good clutch. There was only one other LT1, no LS1, a shitload of rustangs and ricers though. Ricers are funny, I kept whoopin' up on a WRX and he still kept wanting to race, WTF?? I thought those things were suppose to be fast???

what were youre 60's??? just went to an 1/8 mile, and ran my car.... it was street night (which means import night) and the track prep was pretty $hitty.... my 60's were in the 2.3's

Best 60 was 2.01. Hope to get that down with a good clutch. Yeah I know what you mean, this was test and tune day and the ricers come out of the woodwork for that and the midnight madness runs. Man I know I'm stuffed, I ate alot of rice today. hahaha And I'm not even fast yet!!

Oh yeah forgot to mention this...........talk about track prep, they lost two of my timeslips so I have no idea what those runs were. Then I pulled up to the line once and there was some kind of fluid right on the launch pad, so I told the track worker and he was like "yeah I see it, I'll get it after you run". I was like my launch isn't as important as the local "big boys"?? Pissed me off. Needless to say that launch was pretty hairy, got sideways coming off the line.

Just for comparison sake, when i had bolt-ons and street tires i ran a 8.6@ 83.5 and finished the 1/4 with a 13.3 @ 105.8mph. I'd say your car is in the 31.1-13.2 range. Nice work.
