BACK to the subject... choping the choked out quiet mufflers off the cadillac(same as an impala), The sound was awsome. airlift 1000's to plant the tires at the track. No need for a posi anymore. But I didn't have all the mods in the caddy before it died...

Going from 2.73 to 3.42 was huge and cheap just used carrier with stock 3.42s got off board. Bolted right in there. And my vig 2800 was great mod. My magnaflo sounds mean but might go corsa at some point down the road. I have not installed my macs or my comp 305 or 1.6 rockers waiting for some better heads and new opti and wires and do it all at same time.
Also not installed my zex as want to get new pump and new plugs in there and refuse to change plugs till I put the macs on. Factory exhaust manifolds suck huge.

Catback, CAI, and 3.42 (compared to 2.73) put me .6 faster then stock
Headers, ORY, and tune. Went .6 and 5mph faster than my previous exaust, cai, and gears mods. It was also on a humid night just an hour after a rain (track finally got dry). I am about 1.5 seconds faster with just boltons than stock. Get all of the basic boltons done before the real mods, because running a heads cam setup through an otherwise stock car is just choking potential.
Next mods, 3000 stall and some sticky. All I do is blow off my 315s the way it is.

One thing I would say is often overlooked, but very helpful for those of you that want to drag your car only... skinnies, I saw one other guy mention that, they are very helpful. Two other cheap things you can do is move the battery to the rear, and remove the front sway bar (sounds dangerous... but removes weight, and lets the front end trans weight better by allowing more slop. Just don't do it if your faster than 12s, probably scary then). Other than that, new rear gears will always make the most notable difference over anything else you can do for under $200... oh, and you don't have to keep refilling a tank, lol
