is it necessary to use for a 210cc AFR Heads ?? Is it not enough to use CC 'R' lifters??

As long as the top of the lifter is stock style it will work, comp Rs are a stock replacement lifter with a little less bleed off than a stock GM lifter.

Ill be running the revkit with my comp Rss on my brand new AFR 227s.

I think the rev kit was a great product in it's day but now with the beehives I question the worth in most cases. The beehives will allow you to run low enough spring pressure to keep the lifters alive while still controling the valvetrain. Yes they cost more than standard springs but they cost a whole lot less than standards+rev kit. The pcm is only good to around 7K or a little more I think beehives are a good choice to beyond that a bit. Once you get to extreme rpms and exeed the pcm abilities then maybe the rev kit would still be the way to go.
