Default MSD cap and rotor

Ok I have seen the new MSD cap and rotor
http://www.msdignition.com/2005/2005_9.htm
For some reason I'm thinking that this dosen't replace everything in the optispark assembly. For us people that are not that smart, can someone please elaborate on this opti/MSD stuff.

Your right it only replaces the cap/rotor. The OPTI sensor eye remains, other options listed below. Besides moisture issues vented or nonvented there also seems to be problems with high rpm misses. My friend spoke to MSD about this new OPTI cap/rotor and he was assured by MSD they have resolved the high rpm miss notorious in stock GM Optis...shrugs...maybe soon some will report on how well it works.

A) Custom crank trigger setups with MSD Crab style distributors (lot of work, but worth it for some, IMO)
B) LTCC - http://www.geocities.com/reilym/LTCC/ (nice setup, ensure Bob sends you the correct year wiring diagram)
C) Delteq - http://www.delteq.com/products_opti.htm (great for stock replacement but Nitrous control lacks compared to LTCC)
D) Dynotech - http://www.dynotech-eng.com/dynaspark.htm (overpriced & stock cap/rotor, blah)
E) Good basic explanation of OPTI's - http://carprogrammer.com/Z28/How%20t...%20better.html

hope this helps a little
