Here's why I need to know: (on passenger's side)

The alternator relocation kit that keeps the power steering (no a/c, old design) is placing the alternator to touch this just barely. I am wondering if I can take half of the exposed portion of this tab off for clearance, or at least cut away at the corner of it to make room for the alternator to move a bit when the engine torques under load.

Think they have anything to do with aligning the front end? Wonder if I can grind a little bit from them to get it to clear.

those deff have something to do with the kmember bolts, i remember when i put my engine back in we had to mess with those, just don't remember exactly what we had to do, it looked like you had a tubular kmember tho, so i dunno-might not matter. Make sure of what they are is all i can tell you.

Thos are the actual thread bracket that the kmember bolt goes through you can pull it back and forth and side to side when there is no bolt... I wouldnt grind too much off but im sure a little bit would be ok
