Default LT1 383 LE3 against a LT1 350 LE3?

OK I THINK I have read that people say Lloyd's LE3 works better with a LT1 350 than a LT1 383. But my question is if you do use the LE3 on the 383 will you get more power than you would with using the LE3 on the 350 but you would still be choking the 383 compared to using the LT4 AFR heads?

you should end up with more torque and a lower torque curve on the 383 and thats about it. you know if you call lloyd himself he will eb more than happy to talk with you and hell tell you what works best. stock LT4 heads will not as well as the the LE3 heads

Yup....all things being equal you'll see more torque due to the longer stroke of the 383.

383 should make more power, you start putting on after market heads that have been well ported, then thats a whole different ball game. I dont think a LE3 head would "choke" a 383, I think it would run fairly well.

I doubt LE3s would choke as well, pretty sure they're specified more for a built motor like 355 or 383 with a strong valvetrain than a stock bottomend LT1. But, as already said, best way to find out would be to call Lloyd Elliot and discuss it with him yourself.

Im pretty sure Lloyd has a seperate cam for the 383, its still the "LE3" package but if you have a 383 i believe you get a slightly diffrent cam, than a stock cube motor.

Im running LE3 heads and the 2.2 cam on my stock bottom end.
