Default $245 for K&N intake??

I went to a local shop where I was going to order the Generation II FIPK K&N intake for my 94 Trans-Am. The guy pulled it up on the computer and showed me where is cost $245. Is this right? I think that price is crazy!!!

Where did everyone else order their intake from and how much did it cost?

Jegs says 224 for the K&N kit
Also Moroso is 189. But you pay for shipping, so it should be about right.

Would the Lingenfelter intake be just as good? I believe those were around $160 w/o shipping.

I bouht mine used for a 90$ and even then I thought that was to much, never buy one new, always plenty used, I'd make my own from PCV pipe before I paid for one new

The LPE is a killer piece and price. And the filter is HUGE.
