just get a new vigilante, and take the beating to the wallet, They are worth every penny... some parts you can find cheaper than others, with a converter YOU ALWAYS GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR... I had a cheap *** $469 trans-king converter, stalled to 3,000 and picked by them for my car's setup at the time.) my 60' was 1.61 and 12.12 @110 was my ET, but I got 16% slippage out of it on the top end!!! and driving it around town, Fu*@ that, you needed to be at 2,000 just to get the car to creep, and with the full spool rear end 3000 just to turn while parking... Then one day we put my dad's dynamic torque converter in from his DRAGSTER as an experiment.. Not even made for my car, stalled 5,800 with his big block in front of it... With my car 3,000 stall, FELT STOCK WHEN DRIVING!, AND I picked up a ton 11.74 @ 112 1.56 60' with everything else the same at that time... I picked up .4 over a shitty converter by using a good one....not even matched to my car, since I swapped to a bigger cam I need a bigger converter now, so im going to order one soon from dynamic, custom made for my car, about a 4,000-4,500 stall....
