Default 1.6 Roller rocker install completed....

...on a stock 1993 lt1 camshaft. 1.6 Proform RR, Lt4 springs and retainers.

Everything works fine now, except I have a small tick. I've checked all the RR, and all of them are tight enough. Is that a valve ticking?

What could go wrong now that the RR are installed? I drove the car for 45 mins including a couple hard 0-60 runs and the engine didnt miss a beat.

Also, I replaced the valve seals, at 145,XXX on the odo, I guess they needed it?

Thanks,

ROller rockers are known to make noise..... most people will tell you to also get an LT4 Knock Module, to reduce the Knock Retard, caused by the valvetrain noise.....

I hope you see more than I did when I tried a set on my '96 TA when it was stock. Switched them out while sitting on the dyno. Before & after same day tests showed right at $100.00 per hp.

Good luck with them, Ed

I've had 1.6 rockers on my car for over a year now and never heard them ticking.

Mine are a hair noisy to. LT1's with valvetrain mods tend to get a little more valve train noise.

If he's got a '93 then the LT4 knock module is not an option...

Two questions...

I'm pretty certain I have the roller rockers on tight/loose enough.

But, what would happen if they were on too tight?

What would happen if they were on too loose?

-Thanks
