I want to drive my car!!
The back end of the car has been up on jackstands for over 2 months and I'm dying to drive it!!! I finally got the time to work on it all last week trying to get the 9" under it. Got all the brackets welded on it yesterday and it's under the car (without any guts in it) to get measurements for the ladder bars. Yes I'm ditching the torque arm because I really don't feel like making a mount for it. Actually I was considering a 4 link setup but don't have the time for that right now and the ladder/z bar setup is much easier to make. I'm using the lower granetelli arms I already have and am in the process of making the upper arms and ends, that won't take long. I'll order the axles, gears, locker and driveshaft tomorrow and all that leaves is finishing up making the upper arms and then putting everything together. Maybe by the weekend I'll be puttin around town in it again, we'll see.
Just one thing, help me make up my mind, do I want 3.89 or 4.11 gears??

Just waiting for the rain to go away, so we can put er together!!!! I've taken a few pics along the way and might post some up when I get everything done. I'm leaning towards the 4.11, hell might as well get em.
I have a question though, I was just looking thru Summit's site for an installation kit for the gears and don't know which one to get. They have one for an open diff and one for a posi, I'm going with a detroit locker so do I get the kit for posi or what? The rear was originally an open diff. What would make the difference in the kits anyway?

Hey:
I noticed that you are gonna ditch the TA because you don't wanna make a mount for it. I know of a company that sells a bolt on torque arm mount for the 9". If you guys want I could post the company and the part number. Let me know. I think that would be easier than making ladder bars.
