Default 11.4 Compression

Is 11.4 compression going to be a little high for a pump gas car? What do ya'll think about copper head gaskets?

What do you think of this parts combo...

396 all forged, 11.4 compression
Trick Flow 195cc heads ported to flow 285cfm
GM 847 cam
Ported intake, by me
36lb injectors

think they match up well?

i have 12:1 in cp on 95 oct,I know of may people that have 13,1:1 in CP on 93 oct dayly drivers and they are just fine

i have 11.3
runs pump gas all day long
although its on the engine stand right now

11:5:1 compression in a 383 motor, I run 93 octane to the track, then I mix 93 with 112. No problems here!

I ran 12.2:1 compression on my 396 everyday in 100 degree weather on 93 pump gas with no problems ever.

11.45:1 pump gas always, even at the track, unless im gonna juice, when I do use the sray, ill be running race gas.

Its all in the tune....You have to just find the sweet spot with most timing and cr possible with 93... Depends on your dynamic compression ratio too.. But you should be fine
