Default 94 Z28 Shifting Problems

The car won't shift into 2nd Gear during WOT. Auto Transmission

Been dieing more then usuall.

While driving normal cruising speeds in 2nd or 3rd gear it will sometimes drop down a gear and then back up again with no input to the throttle?\

I'm floor'd to why this is happening?

Anyone have any ideas?!?

Stock Car also.

My buddy had the same problem in the same year car. He had it rebuilt and it was still doing it. He sent it back to the shop where the work was done they said it was something in the PCM or so ****. 1 week later problem solved.

Probably doesn't help much.

youd have to rebuild it or at least disassemble the tranny to replace clutch packs. easy way to tell if that is it is to drain fluid and look for friction material. checking your fluid should be one of the first things to diagnose tranny problems. good luck to you.

I'd say some PCM or at least an electrical problem

Sweet, thanks guys.

If it was in the PCM, would I just have to replace it?

How much do those cost? Not cheap im sure

I believe your just going to have to start testing stuff. Get a manual, or if you can get onto a program like Mitchel on demand or something
