Default Installed my borla catback yesterday

I am 19 years old an have never done an exhaust before, it sounds great, but sometimes while deaccelerating I hear a rattle/poping noise under the passenger side.

Also I didn't have a torque wrench and I may have to tighten the clamps more becuase I can see condensation leaking from several of the joints.

(is this normal?)

and i think the rattle comes from where it is mated to the cat, I couldnt get it perfectly straight.

The rattle might be its right after, on the black crossmember

any input/suggestions?

Whats up man
I got borla too. The pop is backfire, which is normal an nothing to worry about. I never had that problem until i got my new gears, but it doesnt matter. The rattling noise is probably because you chose to put no plate in there. Mine did that too until i put the medium sized plate in. The plate acts as a washer, and needs to be on. The middle sized plate gets you more hp to the wheels anyway because it provides some backpressure.

I'm not sure on the exhaust but I just wanted to say that's an awesome color on your car, definitely my favorite. I wanted to get one that color but couldn't find any cause they're kind of rare.

Thankyou, I guess I got lucky, we found it within five miles of us, a rare car indeed.

Take two of them off, just use one
The size is up to you but the middle plate gives you the most hp. If you want proof go to ws6.com. He did a dyno on all of the plates, including no plate. By the way having the middle plate on doesnt make it any quieter than having no plate

Ive got a friend with a 93 z28 who just got the borla on his ride, and he doesnt understand the concept of it being just as loud with the 2 plates in. He's like o wow 4 hp wopee, the kid is a poser! But he still has muscle
