Default 2 Or 3 Series Carrier?

Have A 95 Camaro Z28...want To Change Out The Gears..i Understand The Car Came With A 273 Or A 323..i Need To Know Which One So Ill Know The Gears To Order To Fit The Carrier..how Can I Find Out? Thanks

Look at the RPO codes in your glove box. Here are the gear codes:

GU2 = 2.73
GU4 = 3.08(V6 autos)
GU5 = 3.23
GU6 = 3.42(M6)

If you car came with 2.73's it will be a 2 series carrier, you can buy "Thick" gears to work with your 2 series carrier or you can switch to a 3 series carrier and use regular aftermarket gears. You can find the Thick Gears at Thunder Racing and probably a couple other places.
