Fastest LT1 C4 vette?
#4
I know there is a fastest but i always like to break it down to 2 catagories.
The Joe Overton Catagory, so NOT streetable, its weekly mileage can be counted by 1/4 miles at a time
The Street car catagory
Some people got a fast car that still retain the IRS but some people want the straight axle..... so there is many catagories.

I know I saw a blue C4 with an auto/supercharger/nitrous from Arkansas I believe that used to run the vette shootouts...I believe he was in the high 9/low 10 category...
But I haven't seen/heard of anyone else...

Theres been a lot of fast LT1 based cars, but kinda like 5.0 cars, a lot of them its been so many years no one has really heard from them in a long while. Also before the message board times, so most the cars were known kinda like on a local level.

Yeah...you hardly see one at the track anymore and if you do its usually slow...
I wasn't sure if there was a board/list out there somewhere....

Paul,
I remember that guy. He was a real sh-t talker! Was a 383 with a shot of gas and an intercooled Vortech. I want to say the guys name was David Green or something like that. He was from Arkansas. Last time I saw it, it had a 9inch in it.

You might want to ask over on the corvette forum. Theres a guy over there with an sb2.2 headed motor, reverse cooled. Phil Tolbin was going with a big block last I read. Nick K's best was 10.2@141 as I recall. It's funny you mention stock suspension as a streetable factor. My car is on coilovers- not great for launching but nice in a corner. Nicks car was 13.5-14:1 comp with a solid roller. His old heads are on my car now with a little more work and converted to HR. Anyone know how Nicks car is running with the gen-1 in it? I'm planning to go that route eventually.

I think Nick's old car is running in the 5.80 range (1/8th mile)...
But I could be wrong...sounds sweet and has some kind of graphics on hood now...
Thanks for the tip on the other forum...I'll give it a shot...
