We are both getting started on PCM tuning, but Tony has access to a few tunes that were done professionally for very similar set ups (i.e stroker LT1's and LT4's) and we will look at those and tweak from there. In fact, we have one that is so similar, we should be able to load it and then fire up the car and drive it. It will take some refinement, of course, but should be pretty close right from the start.

We'll "street tune" it initially, then throw it on the dyno and tweak, then street tune again for driveability and tranny shiftpoints.

Im not a newbie on tuning.....been tuning speed density for about 6 years but the flash pcm's are new to me. It is really no different. Should be a piece of cake.

That's what I meant Tony. Sorry. Thanks for the clarification.

I'm sure we'll get that sucker running very, very well.

Ditto....Everything went real smooth on the install. Motor looks AWSOME in the car also.

The car is absoutly SICK!!! Sounds ridiculious I am anxious to see how the car runs at the track

Yep. What Tony and Scott said. Motor is in and it sounds and runs nasty.
The torque is just evil.

Have to get one side of my true duals tweaked a bit. The exhaust side of the AFR heads is a bit different, causing my exhaust to hang a little bit off from the way it was before and now the driver's side taps the tranny crossmember. We'll get that moved before we do more tuning as it was causing a boat-load of KR during our "test passes" on HWY 183 that night.

Huge thanks again to Tony and Scott. We started spinning the wrenches on a "roller" car at 10:30 a.m. and at 6:25 p.m. I fired it up as a complete runner. Hooked up the torque arm and DS loop and went for a drive.

I'll post a few more pics soon.

The Beast sounded sick (in a good way) last night when you dropped by to lend me a hand.

That car is going to be crazy.

When the tuning is complete, let me know because I want to go for a ride.

Thanks guys. Yeah, I think it sounds mean, almost pissed off. Despite the fact that it is the exact same exhaust system, it sounds a bit deeper and bit louder than my 355 LT1 did.

It's just a huge roar when the loud pedal is pushed to the floor.

I'm going to bump up the fuel pressure a couple psi tonight and call Racetronix to get that Walbro and the install kit. I have 3 more projects already lined up to make this transformation complete:

1. Fuel pump
2. 12 bolt rear end
3. Wolf rear sway bar

Then, more dyno tuning and possibly putting in a cage. The car feels faster than 11.4's, but maybe I can go to the track with a full tank of gas or something to slow it down enough to keep from getting kicked out. That's a good "problem" to have, however.

As if I didn't get enough time under the car this weekend, Ouija installed his new built tranny and I stopped by to help him for a couple hours last night.

Car is running. Broke my arm a few weeks back and it set me back a little while. I will reschedule for the dyno soon. Hopefully this month.
