Default Procharger 355 vs 383

So im planning on dropping some big money on my car probably around april of next year. I was leaning towards a 383 setup, but im also looking at the Procharger superchargers. Im getting a bottom end rebuild no matter what, and was just wondering which one will get me the fastest times at the track. It is my DD so i am planning on only running 8 psi max if i end up going with a supercharger. Thanks for any input.

I would think that a 383 with a le3 head and cam package with a 150 shot would be a 355 with a charger. just my .02

Yes I think it would depend on what the goal is. If you are just asking about only the 383 with no significant enhancements, then at 8 psi the procharger setup would blow that away I would think. But if you are wanting to know which could ultimately deliver more power given the right upgrades (h/c, nitrous, etc.) then it could go either way. Le3 plus a 150 shot might win that yes, but consider also that you could always run more than 8 psi if you ever wanted to add more power.

Sorry about not being very clear
Option is- 383 with heads cam (probably AFR 195cc and CC306) and headers (long tube or mid length) OR 355 motor with procharger set at 8 psi of boost with bigger injecters and fuel pump (I really dont want to go higher considering its a DD)
Might think about shooting some nitrous in the 383 setup

If your going to keep modding in the future I would go with the 383, but if this is it for mods I would take the Procharger. By the way whatever you do I vote for the 383 combo.

The 210cc would be pimpin, but in idaho it has to pass the sniffer. I have to stick with 195cc.

That would still be a great combo. But be mindful, this project will NOT get great gas mileage, especially with an auto.
