Oh I don't have a traction problem, the Mickey ETs do well. I was leavin the line around 4000-4500 when the axle let go. I'm really anxious to see what my Z bars do too. I guess I'll have to wait a while for the good cold weather.

i have proll\0Zºp% of the bolt ons out there. i dont have a torque arm, alum. drivshaft and a few other small ones.

im running slp shorties that i modified to run true duals that i fabed up, elc. wp, 58mm tb, underdrive pulley, walbro fp, obd I conversion, cut the baffles out of the ss hood and im still running the ss airbox with a napa paper filter, spec 3 clutch, accel 300+ ign box, msd coil. im prolly forgetting a bunch of stuff.

i do have an 8.8 under the car now that i fabed up but i havent gotten any decent runs with it becouse my tranny is screwed now.

I really dont think that car is a freak at all. Look at my sig. I ran those times with shitty *** Nittos and only launching at 4000 rpms. On the street tire run i just babied the clutch. Now i went to heads and cam but still waiting to see what that will do.

I am coming after ya!!

Times and mods in sig, and NO, I am not hiding anything.
We are under the knife now, doing weight reduction and headers. So I am getting closer, and note, the 8.111 was in 2300DA......and for those wondering what that is in the 1/4, I am guessing a 12.6 using everyone elses calcs but using my actual split times, it is closer to 12.5s. And yes, 12.5s is a ways from 12.0s but cool air is a coming and I have shed 200+ pounds off the car....

I was looking at some old time slips last night and that 8.54 was on a 2.04 60 ft not a 1.9x. So maybe the new clutch and 4.11 will pick me up quite a bit. Just ordered a spool yesterday to get rid of that junky *** locker so maybe next weekend I'll see what it'll do in hot *** weather.

Roadtrip 120,

Just wondering if you beat the time in your sig yet ? I'm assuming your waiting just a little longer for the temperature to cool down a bit. It looks like you may be doing the cam thing right now I'm waiting just a little longer for the heat to come down a little. I'm pretty sure I can go 12.30's @ 110 and I really hope a 12.20 @ 111 or higher is possible. I should have quite a bit better 60ft with all the new suspension setup. I just have to wait and see .....

Looks like me and Mr. Herron are both comin after ya ! Shon, what does your car have done to it as far as MODS ? I'm curious to see if we have most of the same items...

Na, i decided to go ahead and put in a custom cam from Bret Bauer Racing and go for the cam only m6 record. I ran in Houston with 800ft DA so it wasn't that bad in May, but the car had fuel pressure problems. My fuel pressure regulator went out it was 13hp and 17tq down on the dyno, then when i got to the track the car got worse and wouldn't even start to unload off the trailer. Every two runs the car felt like it had a revlimiter at 4800rpm's or 5400rpm. My revlimiter was set at 7100rpm's the car was going so lean that it was detonating so bad it would throw you forward in the seat. I know the car had some left in it that day, plus the setup wasn't finished. I needed a clutch (autzone) and some tires, 1.76 60'. I would have liked better.

The cam project is about finished, so look for some dyno numbers in the high 370rwhp range soon.

If you guys take the title its cool, it was a goal that i accomplished and i am happy to leave it on the table for someone else. Unless they are an *** about it , then i'll have to toss the stocker back in for a few more bolt-on passes.

Later guys

good luck, post up your ET updates for me, as they come in

Wasting no time here, letting the heat pass thru!!
i will do the cam thing later after this car goes 11.7s with bolt ons (or give up like the rest.....).
We have about 5 or so bolt on cars in SC that we all are racing each other so it has become fun in the local 'club'.
I got my hands on 2 of the quicker ones and will soon have my hands on another one. So I am having a blast!!

But I'll pass ya one day on the track!

Later, SH

My mods are:
*Weight reduction: !bs, !spare/jack, !sound deadening, !other misc items.
*I have a B&M Ripper shifter
*Aerochamber Muffler in the stock location and a LM set up prior to that (that is basically just piping like the rest of you have...)
*Moroso CAI
*Moser 12 bolt with 4.11s
*Spohn Adj TA
*Herron Performance Tuning
*Herron Performance LCAs and PHR

The car is having a K-member/A-arm install, SJM !ABS set up, HVAC Removal, Hooker LTs/Y-pipe, QA1 Front shocks/springs right now and I will make a run no later than Nov 5th at the best track I know of in SC; Carolina Dragway. I hope to get to some 1/8th mile tracks sooner than that just to see about the 60' and make sure it is going to be doing what I want in November. It might get 4.33s/spool before November but we'll have to wait and see...

FYI-stock replacement clutch, nothing special.

Shon, Nice ET's for not having that much done to your car... It looks like you have alot more weight reduction than me. I'm very impressed with your ET #'s for the mild amount of mods, looks like you will be going much faster with your next batch of mods I have extensively upgraded my suspension and a few bolt-ons since my last attempt at new ET #'s

I do have a WS6 T/A that has all the options and almost everything is still on the car, No real weight reduction other than removal of the air pump & EGR which does not really add up to anything. Full interior car 6 spd. Only real weight reduction was the weld rims and drag tires over my 18" 3 piece setup.

The current new mod list is pretty ridiculous: BMR K-member, BMR upper & lower A-arms, BMR relocation brackets, Complete Wilwood 6 piston C & S front & rear big brake kit, LS1 front spindles, Hals Coilover front (with 300 lb springs(linear)), Hals new coilover rear kit with (150 lb springs (linear)), Airbag (right rear), Different seats that are lighter with back seat removed. E-cutout, ED Wright FASTCHIPS PCM tune. Plus all the other bolt-ons I had when I ran the 12.61 @ 109. Now that my ride height is adjustable front & rear I can move the car up to stock height to get my 60ft down considerably so hopefully a 1.70 or a tad quicker. I really think if your running your car in november your times will be very fast I hope to be right there with you !

Definitely not freak times, the times these cars can run when they hook well will surprise some people. Very happy to see all the great times from the LT1 community!!
