I cant get my torque arm bolts out ,that go into my rearend. One comes down 1/4 of a inch and just spins after that. The other one closest to the tranny just spins in place. It is driving me nuts because it make noise at idle. I have tried to tighten them up real good but they just seem to not catch thread in there, so then that leaves me with a rattle.
I have taken a huge flat head screwdriver and wedged it between the bolt while tryin to loosen with socket with no luck. Anybody seen this or have any ideas.
I have bad feelings about these bolts and occasionally it seems when i take certain slow turns (like in driveway) I can hear the bolt slip. (odd noise)
I have gone over everthing else and these are the only loose things in that area. At worst i want to see what has happened and if i need to use a tap and die kit or another solution.

I usually install the bolts downward so the nuts are at the bottom. Either way, loosen the nut, until it is flush with the end of the bolt. Hammer on the nut a bit to see if you can pop the bolt up. WD-40 is your friend
