Default Buy or not buy?

Click here Tell me what you guys think about these headers with the Y-pipe. Is it worth it? They are mid-length. Will I get a lot more power with longtubes, or will it not really be a difference? These seemed like they were not too expensive.

Thanks for the help.

Ive had great luck with my MAC mid lengths. Ran the 12.3(my best) in my sig with them. Ive got a new set of Hooker LT's coming my way since the car isnt a daily driver anymore so Im going a lil more "all out" with it but I would say go for them. If emissions is something you have to deal with in your area, youll definatly want go with the mids and save yourself some major headaches in that dept. The power difference that you will see between the LT's and mids depends on your supporting mods but wont be too major. Anything is an improvement over the stock manifolds.

No way to know how much with out testing the particular header on the vehicle, but headers will almost allways give a slight INCREASE in fuel economy. This is obviously due to a reduction in back pressure. This eliminates a pecentage of the pumping losses caused by the exhaust sytem.

Oh, I always thought I would get worse gas mileage if I got headers. I guess I was wrong? I assumed the faster your car was, the worse gas...

Not always true. But, the faster your car gets, the faster you drive it, the worse gas..... Thats how it works for me.

Headers are pretty much a win-win modification. More power, and slightly better gas mileage.........if you drive slow of course.

Anyone know anything about porting my heads? How bad does it hurt gas mileage? Should I do it when I get the headers? Is it a good idea? Will I need to do anything else to my car if I do this?

Thanks
