Question how much power?

how much power would an 96 WS6 have with a K & N Air Filter, 160 C Thermostat, Jet Hot Long Tube Headers and ORY pipe and a SLP Loudmouth cat-back.

Just wondering because I am thinking about buying a car that has these mods.

Also what would be your best guess to a 1/4 mile with these mods?

Thanx, Chris

Good call qcworm
280 at the wheels is a good estimate
As far as the quarter mile goes it depends on where youre located. Up here in boise idaho, at 2700 ft and 90 degree weather, that car is going to run mid 14s. In a lower elevation it would probably be around mid to high 13s

A 96 WS6 is an Lt1, right? How much hp does it have to the crank stock? Like 300 or something...I can't imagine it being much more than that. A comp TA has like 305, right? Or are my numbers off?

Full bult ons will give most LT1's almost 300 RWHP if not just a TAD more. 280 seems very very little.

Its gonna depend on your transmission, and the condition of the car. I have saw bone stock LT1s in great shape dyno 270ish stock with a six speed. Typically A4s dyno between 240-255 stock, M6s 250-270 RWHP. Add btween 20-25 RWHP for the mods you have listed. Best way to find out though is to get here dynoed.

Its not full bolt ons. He has headers and cat back. A K&N filter really doesnt gain you much horsepower. Hook it up with a K&N CAI and you might be pressin 300 at the wheels.

i was looking on line to buy a car and i saw a few 96 ws6's and they were all rated at 285 horse stock, but then again thats to the flywheel so u wont see that when u dyno, but u should with the boltons, and it depends on A4 or M6.
