Default Random SES light?

Sitting in traffic, and boom just randomly goes on. I believe I had my AIR and my EGR disabled, and I just took it out. It took about 250 miles for it to go on after the installation. The car runs great, doesn't stumble or anything. I recently oiled my K&N, maybe I oiled it too much and it's causing the MAF to light a SES light??? I can't get it scanned right now, what do you guys think?

You answered your own question. Sounds like its the MAF. If you didnt disable your AIR and EGR in the PCM then you'll throw a code as well.

as far as EGR goes I know with OBD1 all I had to do is keep the vacuum solenoid plugged in and the PCM thought everything was clear.

on the AIR I just had to leave all relays and fuses in related to AIR and the PCM was none the wiser.

I won't need a new MAF will I? What are the effects of over oiling? I'll find out sooner or later if it's the AIR system *still have EGR* or not. I wouldn't expect it to be the AIR because I have driven it over 200 miles then I randomly got it in traffic.

AIR pump only runs for the first 3 minutes your car is started anyway.

That's not the error I got, it was secondary air injection pump type malfunction.

Ha, see you edited. It's all good.
