I think you missed the point up there 4 TIMES
The pacesetters are going to show a little rust even if they are coated. It will not be all that bad and it will not leak. Every header you look for will, unless they are stainless. From what i understand it doesnt happen quite as fast with the coating, and isnt one of the main reasons for coating to keep temps down? The only headers you will find that will not rust are Kooks. So if you dont want rust, you better save up.

We sell both headers, but by far our most popular has been the Pacesetter headers. If you are on a budget or don't want to spend a lot of money then obviously the Pacesetters are a good choice. They will make the same power as any other 1 3/4 header out there. If you can afford the Kooks, then get them as they are a VERY well made header! We have the Pacesetters and ORYs in stock. Give us a call if you have any questions!

Kooks are by far the better longtube. But if you already know that you're going for the pacesetters, why even start a thread on the topic?

you could buy my headers, send them off too jet-hot for coating and be ahead of the game as far as money goes
plus not have too worry about steering shaft issues or banging on the floorboards

whats this steering shaft prolbem i keep hearing about? Is it the motor mounts just being worn? Some guys are saying if you change your mounts there is no issue with hitting the shaft.

It's not a matter of age, rather a matter of intelligence level.

Here is my question. How long before the "average" coated pacesetter header starts to rust?

If you've got some questions you want answered, this is not the way to go about it. Try not being a total ******* to those trying to help you, and you might get your answers quicker. Get it together or this thread gets locked.

Jet-Hot Coating has a lifetime warranty so if it doesnt last forever, theyll re-coat them. I just went through this process and Jet-Hot is a GREAT company that does stand behind their product. As for the Pacesetter ArmourCoat, I dont know that they have a warranty on the coating. As for an average coating life expectancy, theres not one. Just like everything else, there are tons of factors in how long its gonna last. Its obviously not going to last as long up north as it does down south on a daily driven car. If you scrape the collectors or the y-pipe on a speedbump or something, thats gonna affect it as well. You guys are asking a question that no one can answer. The coating is worth the extra money. Buy the non-coated ones and see how long they last with no rust.

And to add to this, the search button works wonders.

You can buy headers with emission fittings and you can buy em without. Its up to you.

It depends on what the emission laws are in your region. If you dont have to have the emission equiptment, dont get the headers with the emission hookups. If you do have to have them in your area, get the ones with the emissions hookup. If they are strict in your area, LT's arent going to pass the visual inspection either way though.

All in all, if you dont have to have the emission stuff under the hood, ditch it. It cleans up the engine bay nicely.
