Default WTF, no power

i have something wrong with my car. it wont even break the tires lose in 1st. it hasnt been right for some time now. the only engine code is for a o2 sim, thats been replaced twice. all the ignition is brand new. on the auto tap i noticed the timing was jumping from almost nothing to like 30? is that bad? i can figure it out.

First, you have to sort out the basics: recent tune-up? How many miles on the car? Is the clutch slipping? What changed since it first not started spinning the tires?

Once you have the basics answered, then maybe we can decipher what is wrong with your car.

back in dec. of o4 i had the longtubes/ory installed. on the way home the car started to miss and run like ****. droped it off at the shop all new plugs/wires/opti. that was with 63000, it now has 65000. every thing was alright for a while but it dynoed real low, only 271rwhp. i have been tring to sort out the issue but with no luck. i have a tuned PCM with the EGR/AIR deleted, they were throwing codes with the stock PCM.

What did you tune the PCM with? I would also do a compression check and check your fuel pressure. Make sure all your wires are plugged correctly/tight. You might also want to check the gap on your plugs while you're in that area.

the wires/gaps are all good they have been checked. i want to check the fuel pressure and the injectors to make sure they are alright. why the compression test? i had the computer tuned my MADz28. i actually just recently put the stock one back in and it seems to be running a little better. i still have a code though for the rear o2 sim i got to figure out. im gonna put a few more miles on it and see how it runs with the stock PCM. im gonna be ordering tunercat and dyno tuning the car soon,

Compression test is standard troubleshooting for loss of power. Many things can happen - worn cyliner lining, worn rings, both, broken ring, broken piston, chipped valve, valve seals, bent valve, etc.

What mods do you have? If don't have mods, what items did he change in the PCM?

For what it's worth....I had a problem with an 83 Z-28 I once had.....spent over a grand at the shop replacing sensors etc...ran somewhat better but still something was wrong. I figured it out myself after getting extremely pissed at all the work and money. Had a hunch it was the catalyic convertor. Yep, it was bad, and ran like new when replaced. Believe the car had around 78K on it then.
Don't know if thats your problem, just thought I would mention it.

Short's in your wiring harness can cause eratic behavior also!
