These motors are indeed good motors if taken care of, I ran the time in my sig with the only power mod a catback.

Point taken. It was a little misleading on the first post. I just wanted to comment on it because it seems too often that threads like this get some LS1 vs LT1 mudslinging going due to people misunderstanding one another

The headers on the LT1 are more restrictive out of the factory than the LS1's. My friend got some nice LT kooks on his LS1 and only made 2rwhp from them. He told me, the stock LS1 headers didn't flow that bad. Nothing compared to the crappy stock headers on an LT1. When I got my LT's put on, it was a pretty big difference. I took my friend for a ride and he even said he could feel a big change. This is with the LT4 KM installed as well. My friend with the SS said, he felt a slight difference in his car when he put the Lt's on it, but not much...

There is something wrong with his car then. I have YET to see an LS1 gain LESS than 15 RWHP untuned with the addition of a set of LTs. LS1 headers don't flow bad??? Take a look a how restrictive they are. I love my LT1s but I know fact from fiction.

I believe you, but that is what the dyno numbers read. I'm sure there is something wrong, but his car is pretty damn fast. I remember him specifically telling me this one the phone, because it was making me not want to get headers for my car. I was thinking something like that would happen to me. It didn't make any sense to me either, but what can I say...I know he got them used. But, that doesn't make a difference.

That's why they're called manifolds.

I ran a 13.6 before i got my cam, springs, 1.6 rockers, pcm tune, and clutch all on street tires. I think i was at 70k. The car was only taken to the track once or twice with full bolt-ons, so im sure it could have improved.
